For this week's video, we played a game so delightful that by the time we finished filming, we'd all decided to take a copy home.

In Moon Colony Bloodbath, you play as scientists leading your own colonies on the moon. Farm to feed your people, mine to gather money, build your own system of buildings that will differentiate your colony from the others... and try your best to ignore the murderous robots ??

I loved this game for many reasons, but here are the biggest few:

Shared Deck-building—All players in this game share a single Progress Deck in the center of the table. Each turn, we all resolve the top card of that deck, and each time we add a new card, it goes into that shared deck. Sharing a deck also means that each turn is simultaneous, so you don't need to wait for your turn to come back around.

Different Every Time—Each time you play, your Progress Deck will be wildly different from previous games. You'll start with two random Twists in the starting deck; then players will add an assortment of Development cards from their buildings; and by the end of our game, we had only seen 3 of the 20 robot cards that awaited us.

A Hilarious Bloodbath

The game is designed to steadily become more and more perilous for your colony. Leaks, accidents and rampaging robots will cost you the lives of many colonists... but we loved every second of it, because when bad things happen to you, they also happen to everyone else, which means you can all commiserate and laugh about your shared annihilation.
