Hi friends,

Gordon and I got to sit down for a game of A Wild Venture, a two-player game about going on adventures and being good neighbors.

The gameplay revolves around three main resources: Rabbit cards earn you coins; Crow cards earn you more cards; and Frog cards earn you movement on the adventure board. You'll find awesome ways to combine these abilities and create cascading effects.

But every card has a limited shelf life, and after it's been used a certain number of times, it gets removed from play and tucked under your scoring card. Those tucked cards are how you score points at the end of the game, so the only way to succeed is to lose your cards.

The theme may be cozy, but the game has lots of complex interactions and fascinating combinations. For a couple of pokey over-thinkers like us, our game would easily have lasted a couple of hours if we hadn't run out of time. But we were having a blast on every single turn!
