Hi friends,

Today I've got three games on the mind. These games are are all rated for younger kids—ages 6, 7 and 8 respectively—but I wanted to shout them out because they're amazingly suited to families and players of all ages. In fact, I'd happily play any of these with a group of all adults!

ROCKING RAFT

Our pirate ship is sinking, and Captain Glitterbeard has ordered us to grab as much treasure as we can from the wreckage before it's lost to the ocean's depths! On each of your turns, you'll tip the raft to make gems spill out. Then use those gems to fill your lifeboats... but if you're too greedy and spill more treasure than you can use, you'll have to share with the other players. We were cracking up the entire game about our overly aggressive raft-tipping.

MAKE THAT MOST MAGNIFICENT THING

A game that brings out the inventor in all of us! Each round, we'll draw a new task for our machines to accomplish, then everyone grabs bits, bobs, odds and ends to design our own Rube Goldberg-style machines and explain how they work.

We've rarely seen a game that inspires so much positive creativity and problem solving with such a simple concept.

LYING, CHEATING RACCOONS

A hilarious bluffing game about stealing all the trash for yourself. Each round, we'll roll our dice in secret, then use the results to steal trash from our fellow players. The catch is.... you don't have to be honest about your dice, as long as nobody challenges your claims. There's lots of bluffing and fibbing, but you'll probably be penalized if you get too greedy!
