Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the lower-48 states of the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). All products are shipped via the US Postal Service Priority Mail or UPS Ground. Shipping charges are calculated automatically based on the size of the order.
Returns: what can be returned
This return policy governs purchases made from this online store. You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of order for a full refund. Pre-order items and event tickets are not returnable and are non-refundable. Magic: the Gathering, Pokémon, Heroclix, and "blind pull" product are not returnable and are non-refundable.
Returning items with an in-store register receipt
If you selected in-store pickup of your order, you received an in-store register receipt printed on 3"-wide thermal paper when you picked up your items. You may return your item at any Board Game Barrister retail store with this receipt with our regular in-store return policy. If you don't have a register receipt, you can still return your items using your online order number - see the next section.
Returning items using your online order number
- In-Store: Most online orders can be returned in-store using your online order number - the main exception is delivery orders. You may also request a Return Authorization.
- Via Shipping: Please request a Return Authorization by logging into your account on this online store, going to Orders, find the Completed order you with to make a return from and click "Return Items?" to begin the Return Authorization Request form. That RMA number will be valid for 5 days for in-person returns and 20 days for shipped returns. If your order was originally shipped to you, we'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). If the return is not a result of our error, the original shipping costs will not be refunded; if the order had qualified for Free Shipping, the actual shipping costs will be deducted.
Returns made using your online order number will receive a refund to the card with which you made the purchase. You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
"Running Changes" to items
Publishers sometimes make changes to an item's packaging or contents without considering it a new or different item. In these cases, the image on our website might be based on the earlier packaging. Typically this is different graphics or layout, but sometimes has what the publisher considers a small adjustment to contents. We do not consider discrepancies where a vendor has made a running change to an item to be our error. If you have knowledge of a running change and wish to know what specific item we have on our shelves, please send a message via our Contact Us form and we'll do our best to provide accurate information for what we have.
Pre-order items are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable.
Magic: the Gathering, Pokémon, and Heroclix items are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable.
"Blind pull" items are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable.
As a general rule, if you're not sure what's going to be inside your purchase, we won't be able to accept it back.
Event Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable
Event ticket sales are final. Event tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged for store credit. Event tickets may not be transferred to another individual.
It is the sole responsibility of the ticket holder to arrive at the event by the start time listed on the Board Game Barrister Event Calendar.
BGB Group, Limited is not responsible for missed events or late arrivals. Refunds/ transfers will not be issued in the case of a missed event or late arrival.
In-Store Pickup Orders not picked up after one year will be returned, less a 50% restocking fee.
- In-Store purchase with MVP account: the return amount will be applied as store credit on your MVP account.
- Online purchase with online account: the return amount will be applied as store credit to your online account.
- In-Store purchase without MVP account: please use the Contact Us form with the in-store receipt number and the item(s) not picked up. Do not visit a store, these situations can only be processed from a Contact Us website inquiry. Once confirmed, we will put the return amount onto a Barrister Bucks gift card.
- Online purchase as Guest: please use the Contact Us form with the online order number and the item(s) not picked up. Do not visit a store, these situations can only be processed from a Contact Us website inquiry. Once confirmed, you will create an online account and then we will apply the return amount as store credit to your new online account.
Additional Wizards of the Coast Policy
As an Authorized Internet Retailer of Wizards of the Coast, we may only ship sealed Magic: the Gathering products within United States.
As an Authorized Internet Retailer of Wizards of the Coast, we cannot sell current sealed Magic: the Gathering products business to business.
We do not accept returns on sealed Magic: the Gathering products.
